A few years ago, I went to a Tony Robbins event called "Unleash the Power Within". During the event, Tony discussed an idea that has stayed with me for years:
All it takes is 10 mindful minutes.
I'm a salesman. Type A personality, extrovert, always on the go, interacting with people, trying to get new clients and keep existing ones happy. Lots of balls in the air, plates spinning -- you name the metaphor, it's my life.
Balancing my work and my physical health has always been a struggle.
It’s partly because I can get really focused on work, which makes me lose track of time, and partly because I used to HATE going to the gym (and exerting myself in general). As Website Muscle’s Project Manager, I spend most of my day sitting at a desk or in meetings, so I constantly have to push back against my naturally sedentary lifestyle.
Proving once again that, yes, we are crazy like that.
Sometimes at Website Muscle we get a little crazy. When we get crazy, we like to do crazy things -- like putting lampshades on our heads, shoving as many donuts in our mouths as possible, and instituting an Unlimited Paid Time Off policy for our employees.
